Overview

Truss mesh is continuous joint reinforcement for single-wythe walls, embedded in the horizontal mortar joints.

Joint reinforcement has long been necessary for good performance in masonry construction.

ApplicationHorizontal mortar joints in single-wythe walls.

  • Reinforces a variety of masonry walls.
  • Greatly reduces cracking from thermal stresses.
  • Improves resistance to water penetration, as cracks are controlled.
  • Increases lateral flexural strength.
  • Bonds exterior and interior wythes in composite walls, and masonry at intersecting walls and corners.
  • Galvanised for internal use, stainless steel for external use.
