Overview
Tracks are fixed to the floor and ceiling to receive the studs, and can be fixed with powder-actuated nails. Choose the track width to suit the thickness of the wall.
The catalogue advises against fixing gypsum boards to the tracks. Leaving the boards free allows for possible displacement, which helps prevent cracking and damage to the wall, for example during an earthquake.
