Overview
Overhead restraints tie a free-standing wall to the structure above. The sliding tie fixed to the overhead structure stops sideways movement, while its vertical travel absorbs shrinkage or thermal movement of the wall.
The sliding tie has a 6mm hole (FVM1, FVHM-ST1) or 6 × 18mm slot (FVM2, FVHM-ST2) as standard for fixing to the overhead structure. The other end is held in the brick or block work.
