Installation

Installing steel lintels

  1. Support each end on a solid base with a minimum end bearing of 200mm. Use lintel brackets where no bearing wall is available.
  2. Use lintels cut to length at the factory. Do not use damaged or welded lintels.
  3. Keep within the listed safe working load for the lintel length.
  4. Prop at the centre until the mortar is dry to avoid excessive deflection.
